Who am I?

WELCOME TO CAPTURING EVERYDAY BEAUTY! (CEB)

To know more about me, please continue reading.

Hi Peeps!
My name (well for online) is Selina , and I'm a 16 year old homeschooler. I am a bookworm, dancer, photographer, blogger, sister, daughter, friend, gamer, and animal lover.

Goals for the blog: To inspire other teens/kids out there in the world, and to help them find out who they are. This blog is also a place for me to do photography challenges, and teach others on my ideas of modest fashion. I also want girls to learn that makeup is to accent your natural beauty, and not to cover it up. Guys and girls, good looks and personality come from our soul, and not our outside appearances. So, always think about that before judging someone you may think that is ugly. You may realize they actually are truly gorgeous and you were being an idiot for not recognizing it.

Sponsoring: I will sponsor you on my blog if you wish. Just shoot me an email and I'll explain the details for you.

Giveaways: My freebie page is my giveaway page so be sure to check that out.

Questions/ Advice: If you have any questions or need advice on something you can always post a comment in the box below. I will do my best to answer you. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can choose that but please put an initial in the comment so I know I have already addressed you when I come back to check on the page in the future. If you feel more comfortable with emailing me then you can do that as well.

How to contact me?: spike95dancer@gmail.com

More about me: I'm adopted from India. I have a sweet tooth. Don't mention Starbucks or ice cream to me unless you want to see me drool. My biggest dream is to travel. I am completely clueless as to what I want to be when I grow up, which leads to not knowing what I want to major in for college. I do know I want to minor in photography. I absolutely love my sisters(Ava, Amber, and Sierra) and you most likely see my posts about them. I LOVE to watch Avatar the Last Airbender (can't wait for Legend of Korra to come out. P.S. I claim both Zuko and Mako!), Dr. Who (David Tennant is my fave Doc.), NCIS and NCIS L.A. I have more but the list could take a while to write out. 2011 is my first year without ballet (in 9yrs), instead I'm doing modern. I love to listen to music just no country please. I love watching Animes. I will continue to fill this as I go.

What should I do about all my clothes? Everyone has seen everything I wear and I cant get new clothes. It's mostly t-shirts and things so I cant really do much with it... do you have any ideas?

  2. You can always borrow your friends clothes! :) Ok so that is a main question for a lot of girls. try to mix your clothes up, don't pair the same shirt with the same bottoms every time. Also, save some money to get some clothes. Consignment stores are a great way to find cheap clothes.
But mainly my thing right now is have fun with borrowing from friends and switching out each others clothes. Also, when you do go shopping, try to find cheap finds and try to get more than one clothing so that way you'll have more to choose from.
    Thanks for asking!
    I hope that helped.

It's so humid that my hair wount straiten well, and I know its damaging to my hair to do it every day. Do you know of any way to do my hair in a casual way other than keeping it down? My hair is too shor for pig tails, and it's too hard to braid it by myself.

  7. Makeup- I say get a makeup box for your bathroom so you can see it, but also keep it neat.
Necklaces- get hooks for your room maybe. Or make a garland type thing with them.
Hair- check out my resource page and check those links. They have some great hairstyles. Also I'll be posting some fasion blogs soon so you can check thoseout too!

I dont go to places where I can dress up, so what's a good reason to wear dresses? Cocktail dresses I mean.

I just went shipping for new clothes, ready to spend a whole lot of money, but I ended up with 3 shirts out of the whole store cause I didnt find anything I liked. Does this just mean I have bad taste? Or are the stores just putting in wacky clothes that no one in their right mind would purchase?

  10. Girly4.0~This is a hard question. I actually run into the same problems. The only times I've worn cocktail dresses were for weddings. I know some people wear them to church, but personally I think that's just down right unfab! Here are a few ideas.
1: Birthday parties are a great way to dress up.
2: You can have your friends chill at your house but set up a themes for your chillaxing time.
3: You can do photo shoots. Have you a friend or family member do the shoot for you.
4: when your family goes out to dinner you could wear a casual type cocktail dress.
That's pretty much all I have, but this is giving me ideas for future posts. So keep an eye out! :)

Snoopy Luv~ So? Were you on a ship? (since you said shipping.) I'm just messing with you! <3 :P I completely understand your feeling though!
First off, no. You don't have bad taste, you probably just don't like that style. What I like to do to find out my taste is search for clothes online on the store websites. I then slowly start to piece together my likes and dislikes. Now, this is a funny thing. Just like how your taste buds change, your style changes too. Not as much, but gradually you start to get different tastes. Check out my resource page for more fashion websites. I always love to check through Old Navy, and Forever21 for ideas.
I hope that helped you both!

How do you keep from being addicted to texting?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anonymous: Frankly, texting is my way of talking to people on the phone. I don't like to call people... But I only txt really when I need something, or I'm bored. Otherwise occupy yourself with a good story (one you have to write, or can read), listen to music, make sure you've done everything you need to for the day. Find some hobbies that get you away from technology. You might be surprised at how many things you can do without the phone, internet, tv, or games to occupy yourself with. Perhaps start cooking some dinners or lunches. Maybe starting to craft.
I hope this helped. If not, please let me know. :) I'll be happy to give you more pointers on what I do.
